Our employee received a letter of appreciation from Okayama Nishi Police Station!
On the 7th, our driver, Toru Shimamura, was presented with a letter of appreciation from Okayama Nishi Police Station for preventing a special fraud victim. He
suspected fraud due to the suspicious behavior of a regular customer rushing to a convenience store, and used his wits to head to the police station.
On the night of February 10th, a regular customer requested a ride to the convenience store. Since he
usually only uses taxis during the day, he asked the customer for more details about his purpose, and the customer said that a message "infected with a virus" appeared on his computer screen, and when he called the phone number written on the message, he was instructed to purchase 75,000 yen worth of electronic money. Shimamura told the
man that he was being deceived, and went to a nearby police station to prevent the fraud from happening. Shimamura, who
was presented with a letter of appreciation by Police Chief Isamu Yamane at the police station, said, "It was good to see the customer's smile. I would like to strive to build relationships that make it easy to talk to customers."
